We combine organic and raw coconut, dates, and sprouted sunflower seeds with the delicately sweet flavor of rare Ceylon cinnamon (aka “true” cinnamon) – revered by Michelin Star chefs around the world for its velvety taste and superior quality to “regular” Cassia cinnamon. SPROUTED: BETTER THAN RAW AND NEVER ROASTED
It’s a 3 to 4 day process, but it’s a labor of love! We soak our nuts in triple-filtered water to activate live enzymes (making them easier to digest) and then dehydrate them at very low temperatures to protect the integrity of their vital nutrients. The result? A light, airy, crunchy texture…perfection in flavor and nutrition.
Coconut: Coconut has shown to improve heart and brain health with its short and medium chain fatty acids. It’s also wonderful for keeping sugar cravings at bay, and is loaded with dietary fiber, which aids in digestion.
Ceylon Cinnamon: Not all cinnamon is created equal. There are two kinds of cinnamon: Cassia and Ceylon. Cassia cinnamon boasts a strong and spicy flavor. It’s the most common type of cinnamon consumed around the world, and is considered lower quality compared to Ceylon. So, what is Ceylon cinnamon? Ceylon, also known as “true” cinnamon, has a delicate and mildly sweet flavor that has made it a prized cooking spice for Michelin Star chefs everywhere. Beyond its naturally higher quality and sweeter flavor, Ceylon cinnamon also contains 250x less of the toxic chemical, coumarin, found in Cassia cinnamon.
Dates: Instead of using sugar to add an extra touch of sweetness, we use dates – one of nature’s sweeteners. Dates add much more than sweetness to the mix – they’re also a rich source of fiber and packed with essential nutrients, including Potassium, Magnesium, Iron, and vitamin B6.
