Fresh Wheatgrass
Growing and distributing fresh wheatgrass has been our principle business for over 25 years.
Fresh organic wheatgrass is sold:
growing in the tray (makes approximately 12-16 oz) or
cut by the pound (makes approximately 10 oz).

Frozen Wheatgrass Juice
Perfect Foods is the original creator of frozen wheatgrass juice. Our frozen juice is the best alternative to fresh (approximately 80% as effective, in our expert opinion). Once juiced, wheatgrass oxidizes rapidly, so our product is processed and frozen as quickly as possible. If you're looking for a much more portable or storable alternative to fresh wheatgrass juice, contact us directly to order our frozen ounces in bulk. We offer discounts on orders of 100 ounces.
We are very sorry to announce that our frozen wheatgrass juice 6-pack box (pictured above) will no longer be available for sale in stores. Thankfully we are still selling it retail. Right now it is only available from us within our primary area (see map). The change is a result of a law created by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for juice processing. It mandates that all fruit and vegetable juices for resale be either pasteurized or treated with ultraviolet radiation. Both of these processes would damage the nutrients in our wheatgrass juice and compromise the quality of our product. Therefore, we've decided not to pasteurize our juice and to stop wholesale sales of this product. Fortunately, the law allows farms like ours to continue direct retail sales to consumers. In order to ensure the safety of our product, we thoroughly wash the grass before it is juiced and test it regularly.

Our lush deep green grass is available in standard 11 x 21 inch flats and in heights from 1-7 inches. We can even grow in custom containers. Delivery is available 7 days a week throughout the NYC area and last minute orders are no problem. Our beautiful grass has been on the cover of "Martha Stewart Living", featured in "New York Magazine", used in mini-ballfield centerpieces for the NY Yankees, and grown to create custom pillars for the entrance to Mayor Bloomberg's annual party. Florists continue to find new creative ways to incorporate wheatgrass into their displays at weddings, Sweet 16's, Bar-Mitzvahs, and other festive events.
Baby Greens
We sell three varieties of Baby Greens: Sunflower, Buckwheat, and Pea. These tasty, young plants are great in a salad, sandwich, or just eaten by the handful. Sunflower greens taste similar to watercress; buckwheat are tangy clover-like greens; and pea greens taste just like sweet peas. Even children love them! Gourmet restaurants and caterers add our greens to their salads or use them as a garnish. All can be ordered by the tray, pound, or quarter pound.
In addition to many vitamins and minerals, sunflower and buckwheat greens contain lecithin, which helps break down excessive protein in the body and helps emulisfy fat in the lymphatic system. The brain, which is 20% lecithin, is nourished by these greens as well. Lecithin also aids in dissolving cholesterol in the veins and is important for proper heart and nerve health. These greens are also excellent sources of vitamin D. Buckwheat also contains rutin, a bioflavanoid which is rare. It increases mental acuity, shortens internal and external bleeding time, and increases endurance of capillaries under strain and exposure to radiation.
