| In 1982 when Harley Matsil and Jack Mevorah began their backyard business growing wheatgrass, not a blade of wheatgrass was to be found in New York City. The two friends dreamed of regenerating the health of the city by supplying New Yorkers with fresh green food. With a little ingenuity, they created a home delivery service, and as demand grew, health food stores began serving fresh wheatgrass juice at their juice bars.
Today owners Harley and Alyse Matsil and the entire staff at Perfect Foods work extraordinarily hard to make wheatgrass as readily available to as many people as possible. We supply hundreds of juice bars in the NYC area and ship fresh wheatgrass and frozen wheatgrass juice nationwide. In fact, Perfect Foods is the largest indoor wheatgrass grower in the world!
Our wheatgrass is grown in a controlled environment all year round using only the heartiest wheat, composted soil and full spectrum lighting to produce the greenest, sweetest and healthiest wheatgrass anywhere in the known universe.
